Social Media Policy
As a reminder of our social media policy in the Employee Handbook:
We ask to be careful when posting on social media. We expect all staff to always adhere to our confidentiality policies. We caution avoiding violating our anti-harassment policies or posting something that might make collaboration with colleagues more difficult.
- Follow the employee handbook policies and observe laws on copyright, trademarks, plagiarism, and fair use.
- Do not share intellectual property like trademarks, photographs, copywritten material on a personal account without approval. Confidentiality policies and laws always apply.
- No original content can be created using Kahler Slater intellectual property by employees unless Kahler Slater shares first. You may (and are encouraged to) reshare Kahler Slater’s posts with a personal message regarding your role or interest in the content. If you feel unsure about sharing, you should not.
- Ensure others know that personal account or statements do not represent the firm. Do not state or imply that personal opinions and content are authorized or endorsed by Kahler Slater.
- Do not reshare a client's post unless you have approval from Kahler Slater.
- Be respectful, polite, and patient when engaging in conversations on the firm's behalf.
- Avoid speaking on matters outside your field of expertise when possible. Everyone should be careful not to answer questions or make statements that fall under someone else’s responsibility.
- Correct or remove any misleading or false content as quickly as possible.
